We like to keep things simple and real—no confusing fine print or unexpected surprises. Here’s what you need to know about shipping, returns and problems with your order.

🌍 Shipping

🛹 Skateboard Decks

BUTR skateboard decks are stocked locally and shipped from South Africa.

  • Deck delivery is currently available within South Africa.
  • Your deck will be carefully packaged to help protect it in transit.
  • Tracking details will be sent once your order has been dispatched.
  • Delivery times depend on your location and the courier service.

If your order includes a skateboard deck and made-to-order merchandise, the products will be fulfilled separately and may arrive in different parcels.

👕 Made-to-Order Gear

BUTR apparel and merchandise is produced especially for you through our print partner, Printify.

  • Production: Approximately 2–7 business days
  • Shipping: Approximately 5–15 business days, depending on your location
  • Tracking: Sent once your order ships

We don’t mass-produce our merchandise. Every piece is created when you place your order—better for the planet and worth the wait.

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by courier delays, customs or circumstances outside our control.

📚 Recipe Books

Our physical books are sold and fulfilled through Amazon.

When you select Buy Now, you’ll be redirected to Amazon to complete your purchase. Amazon handles the payment, printing, shipping, tracking and delivery of your book.

🔁 Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

🛹 Skateboard Decks — Final Sale

All skateboard deck purchases are considered final. We do not accept change-of-mind returns or offer refunds or exchanges because the wrong size or shape was selected, except where required by applicable consumer law.

There are a few reasons for this:

  • Applying grip tape permanently changes the deck.
  • Mounting trucks and hardware leaves visible marks.
  • Riding can immediately affect the deck’s condition and structural integrity.
  • Impact, moisture, storage and setup can all affect how a deck performs.
  • Once a deck has been assembled or ridden, we cannot confirm how it was handled.
  • A used or altered deck cannot safely be resold as new.

Please check the deck’s width, shape and specifications carefully before ordering. If you’re unsure which deck is right for you, contact us before completing your purchase.

We do not accept returns or refunds for:

  • Choosing the wrong deck size or shape
  • Change of mind
  • Decks that have been gripped or assembled
  • Decks that have been ridden
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by impact, incorrect setup, misuse or moisture
  • Cosmetic marks caused during setup or use

Snapping, chipping, pressure cracks and razor tail can occur through normal skateboarding use and do not automatically indicate a manufacturing defect. Any suspected defect will be assessed based on the circumstances and available evidence.

Damaged, Incorrect or Defective Decks

If your deck arrives damaged, you receive the wrong product, or you believe it has a manufacturing defect, contact us as soon as possible.

Please provide:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the deck
  • Photos of the packaging if it was damaged during delivery
  • A short explanation of the problem

Where possible, do not apply grip tape, assemble or ride the deck before contacting us. We’ll assess the issue and arrange an appropriate solution in line with applicable consumer law.

👕 Apparel & Merchandise

Because our apparel and merchandise is made to order, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Ordering the wrong size
  • Ordering the wrong colour
  • Changing your mind

Please check the product details and sizing guide carefully before ordering.

However, if something is genuinely wrong, we’ll help get it sorted.

A free reprint or refund may be provided if:

  • Your item arrives damaged
  • You receive the wrong item
  • There is a manufacturing or printing error

What to Do

  • Contact us within 30 days of delivery.
  • Include your order number and clear photographs of the problem.
  • If several items are affected, include all of them in one photograph or video where possible.

You generally won’t need to return the damaged or defective item.

Please Note

  • Minor print-placement variations of up to approximately 0.5 inches can occur and are not normally considered defects.
  • If delivery fails because an incorrect or incomplete address was supplied, a replacement may require an additional payment.
  • Refund or replacement eligibility is subject to review.

💻 Digital Products

E-books and other digital products purchased directly from the BUTR website are non-refundable once access has been provided, except where required by applicable law.

We cannot provide refunds for:

  • Accidental purchases
  • Change of mind
  • Products that have already been accessed or downloaded

If you experience a technical problem, contact us and we’ll help you access your purchase.

📖 Books Purchased Through Amazon

Purchases completed through Amazon are covered by the policies of the Amazon marketplace where the order was placed.

Return eligibility, return periods and shipping costs may vary depending on:

  • Your country or Amazon marketplace
  • Whether you purchased a physical or Kindle edition
  • The book’s condition
  • The reason for the return

To request a return or refund, open the order in your Amazon account and follow the available return instructions.
